As the Jerit cyclists get closer to Kuala Lumpur in their 16-day nationwide tour, they expect to encounter problems when they enter the capital city next week.
While they have another trouble-free day today, unlike the first half of their tour where a number of them were arrested and some of their bicycles were destroyed by arsonists, they are likely to hit a major obstacle in their final lap.
Hope nothing will happen to JERIT cyclists upon reaching KL. They are pretty harmless and I do not understand the need to use excessive force against a bunch of cyclists who wanted change? It’s not like they are terrorizing the road like mat rempits nor they set every traffic light on fire. How come the cops are using excessive force against them but not hooligans like rempits? Is it because they are harmless while rempits are dangerous? The cops are suppose to deal with dangerous people right? How come they pay more attention with harmless citizens who only wanted to cycle for a change?
