If this so called cyber court get its way, be sure to see many bloggers jailed for insulting BN.
The government is considering establishing a “cyber court” to deal with the increasing number of crimes related to the Internet and blogging.
It is sensible that we should take action against those who insulted the Prophet but they must be impartial to other religions too. If some one insults Islam gets jail term while those who insults other religions don’t, then many people are not going to take this so called cyber court with cyber jurisdiction seriously. While the cops should take action on any bloggers who insulted any religion, be sure to see them abuse their authority to the max against bloggers who insults BN. Their interpretation can be pretty wide. They can even use this reason alone to justify the arrest of any bloggers who sounded too ‘anti establishment’ for their own good. Why just stop at cyber court? Why not use cyber ISA for those who are a cyber threat against the nation too?
