It is true that our government spends more time in wrestling the opposition states via backdoor means than paying serious attention towards reviving our fragile economy.
Malaysia’s economy is “buckling under the pressure of a global recession” and could contract by two percent this year, opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim has warned.
He said at least 400,000 people risk losing their jobs in 2009.
“The days and months ahead will not be easy,” he said in comments published on his blog late Sunday.
They think by splashing billions of ringgit alone is going to make the recession go away. But that’s how they have been doing it all long. They need to pay money to people to attend their ceramahs and sometimes they need to give free dinner for people to attend their functions. A far cry where people are willing to pay donation for opposition in order to fund their operation.
