Will he really step down on April the 2nd? Why not 1st of April if he can use this opportunity that he was just playing a prank on the impatient PM in waiting?
Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is expected to step down on April 2, five days after he is to quit as Umno leader at the party’s general assembly.
It is learnt that Abdullah would inform the cabinet at its weekly meeting this afternoon that the transfer of power is on, and that he would go to the palace on April 3 to meet the Agong.
At least whatever he says can be reversible with April Fool. Is it really okay to choose a prime minister who is not voted in by the rakyat in the last general election? I thought it was supposed to be rakyat who has the right to choose their rightful prime minister and not by some measly party that has been shortchanging the nation for 52 years with outdated rhetorics? I guess what RPK said is true after all. Our Prime Ministers do not serve the rakyat. They only serve their parties.
